Cali + Chicago love

Sunday, November 20th, 2011

Just in time for the holiday rush, here are two new cards inspired by places I will be showing:
Holiday Line Up

The Renegade Craft Fair is by far my favorite show. Looking forward to spending one weekend at the cozy Pulaski Field House and then the next weekend in (hopefully) a sunny Los Angeles. In LA, I will be sharing a space with the talented Sonya Gallardo.

Oh, I love California. I am planning on squeezing in some movie time with Bret Iwan, attending holiday parties, and going to see California Design, 1930 – 1965: “Living in a Modern Way” at the LACMA. It is always so wonderful visiting and I am so thankful I have been able to sneak in so many trips this year with my hectic schedule. I have a feeling it’s going to be hard leaving the Golden Coast without a another trip in sight. Le sigh.

Also, I will be having a sale for Black Friday in my shop. There may be a Cyber Monday one as well, but it will be a different coupon. Happy shopping this holiday season and please support small and local businesses.

I am currently gearing up for a few holiday shows, which means a lot of late nights. The first show will be next weekend and it’s called the The Handmade Weekend organized by Angel D’Amico-Bauer of a Ad Love. (Love her work!) It will be at 1941 W Division Street and runs both Saturday and Sunday from 11-7pm. Come on out and get a early start on your shopping – plus it’s on Division, which means you can hit up all your favorite stores!

December 4th and 5th is my favorite holiday show, the Renegade Craft Fair Chicago. I am hoping to pick up some holiday goodies here for family and friends.

For the last leg of holiday goodness I will be heading out to one of my favorite cities, San Francisco for Bazaar Bizarre. This is my first time doing the show and aI am looking forward to some Pacific air in these lungs! It’s held at Fort Mason on the water, which is the perfect space for a craft fair.

I think next year I am going to have to try to work LA into my travel art plans. I don’t do well with winter and running away is always welcoming, especially if it’s California in the dead of winter. Alright kittens, back to work!

Hello, Fall!

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Tomorrow is the Renegade Renegade Craft Fair Chicago! I have the window cracked open and I think I hear rain. Nope, just a sprinkler. We are all hoping the rain comes early and leaves early for the show. It’s supposed to end at noon/1pm tomorrow and for the rest of the weekend it will be glorious and sunny! Currently, there are little messes all over my apartment, instead of one big continuous mess, which is shocking I’ve kept it so contained.

So, yes please come out and visit us at both # 224 on Division between Wood and Hermitage. After the Fair, I will be enjoying this guy a little more.

Happy crafting and shopping this weekend!
(also, looking forward to a new art giveaway – this time the Illinois: Meet Me in the Middle print. This will happen sometime later this fall!)

Also be sure to visit: Circa Ceramics, Courtney Fischer Jewelry,Reuse First, and Paper Stories.

Let’s hope for no rain this year! Last year was perfect and since we barely survived the great rain of 2008, I am hoping for nothing but perfect weather Renegades from now till forever!

So, it’s been a week since the Renegade Craft Fair San Francisco and what a great time! Here are some photos of the set up:

Oh San Francisco, you’re a beaut!

I had the most wonderful neighbors! Recession Clothing, where I got my hands on this lovely piece. Mmmmm… how hot are their models!? They are from the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon.

To my left was Yokomono Studio from Berkeley, California. She was super sweet and talented and I loved everything.

All in all, a perfect and smoothly run show. It’s always a bit stressful when doing shows solo or in a different city, but this one was one of my favorites!

Well, it’s that time of year again – time for the Renegade Craft Fair! I am exhausted, but the fact that I will be on the West Coast is keeping me going. If you are in San Francisco, please swing by the booth! I have to finish with some odds and ends, so I am out! Ciao!
